Hi, thanks for the drivers on Sound Blaster Live 5.1! It works well but I wonder why it is limited to 2GB RAM. in PC I have 8GB RAM and that’s the problem. If I take the RAM, everything works without a problem. What follows this limitation of 2 GB RAM and can it possibly somehow removed? -I love these old sound card and I do not want her to give up even today. Thanks for the info, Regards Zdenek P. – Czech Republik

I tried to install this driver for SB Live! CT4830 on Windows 10 build 1703, but it’s not working. Code 28: drivers of this device are not installed.
Installation was succesfull, I reset my computer after it.
    Any suggestion?
    BTw – I’ve got only 2GB RAM. It’s old Intel G31 Chipset.

Thanks a lot. It saved my day 🙂

  1. Evilbox link might be corrupt. Download finishes at about 33.38 MB and WinRAR says unexpected end of archive. When extracting the file WinRAR says archive is in an unknown format or damaged.

    Hello,

thank you very much for this unofficial drivers. I don´t know what is the problems of other guys, but as for me my SB Live! Value 4.1 is functioning properly (even) under WinVista x64 SP2 with 8GB installed! My old PC is running on Supermicro C2SBA+ II. motherboard with Core2Quad Q9650s and 4x2GB DDR2 800MHz RAM Kingston. Up to now without any issues, but I didnt test mic input.
The only “trick” which I must bypass during standard install is that I ought to manually run “setup.exe” from sub-directory “\Drivers”.

    Thanx a lot!
    V.
